About the role

The Production Lead I position is a key role within our fast-paced production environment. You will lead and manage a team, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Directs personnel and schedules work on assigned production lines.
  • Delegates tasks to appropriate associates to complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Affords assistance on the production lines when necessary.
  • Ensures appropriate information is communicated to those within their area of responsibility and communicates appropriate information back to supervisor.
  • Conducts and completes training for all new hires.
  • Maintains and increases overall line efficiency.
  • Ensures product meets specifications and goals in production, yields, labor, and quality.
  • Completes any necessary paperwork assigned by production supervisor or manager (i.e., downtime monitors, line testing, etc.) in a timely manner.

  • Attends all required company trainings.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • Effective communication skills.
  • Good aptitude with numbers.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

  • Physical demands: Requires ability to lift, up to 30 lbs. regularly and occasionally up to 60 lbs. Requires ability to stand for the entirety of the shift (minus breaks/rest periods).
  • Environmental factors: Subject to temperatures ranging from 30 degrees to 50 degrees constantly. Subject to noise levels higher than 85 decibels. Ability to wear all required PPE.

Skills

  • Safety Awareness - Follow all safety laws, policies, and procedures. Immediately report safety concerns to supervisor. Attend, and successfully complete, when applicable, all required safety training.
  • Quality Awareness - Comply with the requirements of the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP), and Food Safety and Quality Food Programs (SQF).

Pay

Starting hourly rate for this position is: $21.87 per hour. An additional $2.00 shift differential will be applied while working 2nd shift.

Schedule

Monday - Friday 2:30pm - 11pm

Location

This position is at the St. Michael facility full time.
