Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Daily team engagement through morning meetings and communication boards
- Assign daily work to the work cell and give instructions to the team
- Check and perform routine quality audits and first article inspection to approve new team members and production methods/procedures
- Monitor productivity, safety, quality, and delivery goals of the work cell
- Handles minor team conflict and escalates when appropriate
- Refers to the engineer drawings to ensure the correct parts are pulled and used
- Captains and participates in daily cell changeovers
- Solves routine problems by utilizing troubleshooting methods
- Insures that standardized work and Lean manufacturing practices are being followed
- Recommends and assists in improvement projects
Required Experience and Knowledge/ Skills/Ability
- 2-3 years prior experience building basic mechanical and/or electrical assemblies or assembly preparation
- Up to 1-year experience mentoring or supervising others
- Detail-oriented and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to organize assemblies in an efficient manner
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Exhibit cooperation and teamwork skills
- Basic math skills – addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers & measurements
- Convert inches to millimeters
- Basic computer skills; ability to use Microsoft Office
- Self-motivated and eager to take on responsibility
- Able to lift 40 lbs.
