Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean work area: occasional hosing down area's as needed
- Aid line operators in picking up dropped items, ensuring area is organized and free of debris
- Operate and troubleshoot equipment, supporting maintenance during downtime
- Coordinate breaks and lunches with other operators, filling in as needed
- Maintain highest productivity on the line by balancing the line and reducing waste
- Taste test product as needed, up to a couple ounces per test
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years of production experience operating equipment
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Detailed orientation and multitasking abilities
- Excellent time management skills
Qualifications
- Experience in the food/beverage industry
- Previous experience in manufacturing or production environments
- Ability to lead, coach, and train others
- Consultative, influential, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Frequent: Talking and hearing, standing, walking, climbing stairs, stooping, bending, crouching, lifting up to 50 pounds, using hands and fingers to operate machinery/equipment and all manual and electronic equipment in area of responsibility, wearing a dust mask, performing Confined Entry using LOTO program, exposure to toxic and corrosive chemicals
- Occasional: Squatting, kneeling, reaching above and at shoulder height, visual detection of obstacles and potential dangers in a fast-paced production environment involving high-speed equipment and powered industrial lift equipment, hearing in the normal audio range with or without correction, exposure to noise levels from pumps, machinery, forklift traffic, bottle lines and exhaust fans
