Production Lead, Fabrication (Packaging)
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Fabrication Lead to join our dynamic team at Smartpress. As a Fabrication Lead, you will mentor and coach employees in the bindery, fabricating, cutting, or kitting areas. You will also be responsible for training new and existing employees on efficient and effective machine setup and process flow. This role involves learning new equipment and training others, but does not include management responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate workflows to create work standards and efficient processes
- Lead and direct a team of peers and temporary staffing with clear communication and direction
- Train new and existing employees on the most efficient and effective methods of machine set-up and process flow
- Perform Quality Control (QC) procedures to meet Company standards
- Assist with training and development of our employees and temporary workforce
- Lead the last quality check before shipment to TBG/SmartPress customers
- Be the key liaison with the CSR and managers to ensure the job is completed successfully within the customers' parameters
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED
- The ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
- OSHA 10 Hour Certification (optional)
- A thorough and organized approach to work
- Pay close attention to details on every project
- Basic computer skills, including Pace and Google Suite
- Self-motivated, a fast learner, and show initiative to seek out customer and corporate needs
- Plan, prioritize, coordinate, and manage work accurately within deadlines, while meeting Company quality standards
- Effective time management and self-management skills
- Understand and maintain the confidential nature of company, employee, and customer information
- Flexible to change and able to quickly move from one project to another while dealing with stressful deadlines

Pay
$44,460 - 51,854 annually
Schedule
Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
