Production Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of production workers to ensure high-quality manufacturing standards and meet production goals.
• Plan and assign production tasks to team members based on workload and priorities.
• Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance with safety standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of production equipment and machinery to ensure they are in good working order.
• Troubleshoot production issues and work with maintenance and engineering teams to resolve technical problems.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
• Maintain accurate records of production quantities, downtime, and material usage.
• Train new employees and provide ongoing training to existing staff on safety procedures, production techniques, and equipment usage.
• Ensure production schedules are met and provide regular status updates to leadership.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as quality control and logistics, to ensure smooth production and timely delivery of products.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent; an associate's degree or higher in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Able to speak English and Spanish.
• Proven experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and inventory management.
• Experience with production scheduling software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

About the role

This role is located at our manufacturing facility and conducts work in a manufacturing environment with limited exposure to the outdoors. Physical requirements include lifting to 50 pounds, repetitive hand use, standing, lifting, bending, twisting, walking, sitting, squatting, reaching above shoulders, and climbing.
