Production Lead

About the Role

Mold and trim products to established specifications for quality and quantity using molding and trimming presses and supporting manufacturing equipment. Work as part of a team in a cell concept, rotating through multiple job functions throughout the day following a playbook for optimal performance.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment accurately and ensure continual product flow through the module from mold press to trim press.
• Operate mold and trim presses (manual/automatic) following site SOI’s and work instructions.
• Process trimmed product through washing, drying, and special treatments (e.g., sort, silicone, chlorination).
• Set up pack scales for weighing and packing finished product; prepare carton labels for shipping.
• Alert the Area Supervisor to conditions that may impact production or quality.
• Maintain accurate documentation for product traceability.
• Inspect molded/trimmed work to ensure quality standards are met.
• Move materials into and out of the work area as required.
• Clean and prepare workstations/equipment during and prior to shifts.
• Promote and support a Lean environment; adhere to all corporate and site-specific regulations, policies, and safety rules.
• Exhibit regular, reliable, and predictable attendance; demonstrate leadership in helping the department meet its goals.
• Prioritize and delegate work to team members, considering operational criticality.
• Collaborate with team members, QA, and engineering groups for investigations and projects.
• Safeguard corporate or plant confidential information.
• Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• Bachelor’s Degree or working toward it (preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Computer skills (Microsoft Office).
• Ability to exert up to 100lbs/45kg of force occasionally, 50lbs/22kg frequently, and 20lbs/9kg constantly.

Additional Details

Travel requirements: Up to 5% (approximately 13 business days per year).
