Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform advanced-level assembly, testing, or machine operation work based on production needs.
- Provide daily on-the-floor direction, support, and technical guidance to technicians and operators.
- Train and mentor employees on processes, equipment, safety standards, and quality requirements.
- Oversee workflow, prioritize tasks, and help ensure adherence to production schedules.
- Verify the accuracy of travelers, documentation, work instructions, and material availability.
- Conduct in-process quality checks and document results as required.
- Identify workflow, equipment, or process issues and escalate to supervisors, engineering, or quality as appropriate.
- Support continuous improvement efforts including 5S, waste reduction, and process optimization.
- Communicate daily updates, priorities, and issues to supervisors and cross-functional teams.
- Provide feedback to leadership regarding employee performance, skill development, and training needs.
Qualifying Attributes And Skills
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in electronic or electromechanical production.
- Advanced proficiency in assembly, testing, or machine operation.
- Demonstrated ability to guide, train, or support others on the floor.
- Prior experience as a team lead, trainer, or senior-level technician/operator.
- IPC certification or equivalent technical training.
- Strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and production flow.
- Able to coordinate workflow and respond to real-time production needs.
- Effective communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and lead by example with professionalism and consistency.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to work in a production environment with machinery, small components, solder, epoxy, and test equipment.
