About the role
We are seeking a Production Lead to join our dynamic team. The Production Lead will coach, train, assign, and check the work of Production Associates. Key responsibilities include monitoring and evaluating workflow, providing work status reports, assigning tasks, and ensuring project completion.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and evaluate the workflow throughout the department
- Provide verbal and written work status reports to the supervisor
- Assign work to associates and follow up to ensure satisfactory completion
- Stage and prioritize work assignments in advance
- Operate and monitor equipment to process work according to instructions and/or client expectations, as well as set up and calibrate equipment per guidelines and/or job specifications
- Respond to equipment troubleshooting to resolve machine and job-related problems
- Work with associates in a team effort to further company goals concerning productivity, safety, quality, and Continuous Improvement initiatives
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of experience in a fast-paced production environment operating production machinery and performing routine maintenance
- Ability to use basic computer systems to enter, review, or track production or quality information
- Proven ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
What would be great to have
- Experience with warehouse staging and inventory systems (e.g., handheld barcode scanners, basic WMS)
- Completed safety training such as OSHA-10 or equivalent and demonstrated ability to follow safety procedures
- A team player that works well with others but can also work independently
How you’ll work
- Assigned 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift schedule
- Eligible to earn shift differential pay for working 2nd and 3rd shift
- Frequent moving and/or carrying of materials weighing up to 50 pounds
- Safety requirements including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for a majority of the shift, climbing, squatting, kneeling, twisting, pushing, and bending frequently
Experience you’ll need to have
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year of experience in a fast-paced production environment operating production machinery and performing routine maintenance
- Ability to use basic computer systems to enter, review, or track production or quality information
- Proven ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
