About the role

The Production Lead supports and assists production management by providing daily people scheduling, priorities, and training directions for production employees in various databases. This position is also responsible for initial troubleshooting of production issues and communicating these issues and potential improvements to Management.

Responsibilities

  • Cook up daily production needs that address safety, quality, and productivity
  • Monitor the standard of work within assigned area
  • Ensure employees follow all applicable procedures
  • Direct employees workflow and monitor work assignments to achieve daily production schedules
  • Aid in establishing priorities, problem-solving, and setting goals in production
  • Communicate team needs and make recommendations to Management
  • Absorb workflow between stations and/or departments, providing parts, supplies, and tools as needed
  • Document jobs through manufacturing procedures
  • Resolve minor issues and escalate larger problems to appropriate members and/or cross-functional team members
  • Absolutely ensure employees are adequately trained to perform the work assignment
  • Train and certify employees when necessary
  • Participate in continuous improvement
  • Evaluate systems, processes, or procedures and make recommendations for improvement
  • Investigate and/or implement production changes
  • Serve as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues
  • Demonstrate the understanding and applied 6S Lean manufacturing in workplace

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of Medical device manufacturing experience is preferred
  • Previous Lead experience is preferred
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably medical device manufacturing experience
  • Preferred basic knowledge of an ERP system

Pay

The starting hourly rate for this position is $24.00. Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation for applicable experience and may also be eligible for bonuses and/or incentives.

Schedule

Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
