PRODUCTION INTERN

About the Role

This is a three-month temporary internship opportunity for college students to gain experience in a tobacco manufacturing environment at the JTI RMC Factory in Danville, VA during summer break. The role assists with implementing IWS Standards in the factory.

Responsibilities

• Together with the production and maintenance team develop maintenance standards for line equipment
• Together with the line mechanics and electricians develop instructions for troubleshooting, equipment adjustments, and eradication of machine issues
• Work with maintenance and electrical departments to develop safety stock for spare parts
• Work with cell structure team to develop new standards of IWS Systems
• Other duties requested by the Maintenance Manager

Requirements

• Candidate should be 18+ years of age
• Candidate should be working toward an Associate, Bachelor, or Master Degree in a college
• Articulate in English with good communication and written skills when dealing with individuals
• Self-motivated, ability to work in a team environment, open-minded
• Proficient in computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft applications

Qualifications

• Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Skills a plus
