About the role
This is an hourly, full-time production position with a starting pay of $21.60 per hour, with the ability to increase to $27.60/hour plus a $1/hour shift differential for shifts between 6pm-6am.

Starting at $21.60 per hour, up to $27.60/hour plus $1/hour shift differential for overnight shifts.

Responsibilities
- Work in areas where livestock is being processed
- Work in temperatures near or below freezing (coolers, loading dock freezer)
- Work in areas with unpleasant odors
- Work in damp or cold conditions (20-30 degrees in fabrication)
- Work in extreme heat (up to 104 degrees on the kill floor)
- Lift, pull, or push up to 50 lbs
- Use sharp knives or cutting tools
- Work overtime as necessary (heavy season: August–February)
- Work day and night shifts, including Saturdays
- Work in or around bloody areas in a fast-paced environment
- Perform repetitive hand motions and body movements
- Stand for 8 to 10 hours per day, 6 days a week (loading dock may require 7 days as needed)
- Adhere to scheduled breaks (2 allowed per union contract and operational requirements)
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and supervisor instructions
- Work collaboratively with others
Physical Demands
- Neutral Wrist: Repetitive hand motions and grasping
- Reaching: For product on conveyor belts with hooks, boxes, or bags
- Standing: Constant standing for 8 to 10 hours per day, 6 days a week
- Loading Dock:
- Heavy Work: Exerting 51 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, 26 to 50 pounds frequently, or 11 to 20 pounds constantly
- Very Heavy Work: Exerting in excess of 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, or 20 pounds constantly
- Physical adjustment period of 5 to 6 weeks for full adaptation to work conditions
Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Willingness to work in cold, hot, damp, or bloody environments
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and varying shifts
