About the role
The Machine Operator will be responsible for the efficient operation of extrusion machinery, ensuring the production of high-quality blown film products.Responsibilities
- Set up, adjust, and control machine settings, such as temperatures, speeds, and thickness, to achieve desired product characteristics.
- Conduct routine equipment checks and preventative maintenance to ensure continuous and efficient operation.
- Monitor product quality throughout the production process, making necessary adjustments to maintain consistent quality standards.
- Conduct visual inspections and measurements of finished products to ensure they meet customer and company specifications.
- Troubleshoot and address any issues related to product defects or deviations from quality standards.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Operate machinery in compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards.
- Report any safety incidents, equipment malfunctions, or maintenance needs promptly.
- Maintain accurate production records, including machine settings, production rates, and quality control data.
- Complete required documentation and reports in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Additional technical or vocational training in extrusion operations is a plus.
- 2 years of manufacturing experience.
- Ability to set up, operate, and troubleshoot extrusion equipment.
- Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems related to extrusion machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials as needed.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
