Production Field Superintendent

About the role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Production Field Superintendent schedules and supervises commercial production roofing crews on multiple jobsites and locations. This position manages projects from start to finish, ensuring the highest level of craftsmanship, quality, and production.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and supervise roofing field operations with daily worksite visits to ensure project specifications are met
• Regularly inspect work progress, equipment, and jobsites to ensure all work order details and safety protocols are followed
• Work closely with Production foremen to train roofing field staff with an emphasis on safety and employee development
• Maintain documentation of projects, identifying variances, monitor expenditures, and implement corrective action when necessary
• Coordinate inspections from manufacturers and governing authorities, as needed
• Communicate with Operations team regularly on work progress
• Conduct materials inventory as needed
• Additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial roofing experience
• 2+ years of supervisory experience
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) highly desirable
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to lift 25+ lbs. regularly, 50+ lbs. occasionally
• Ability to work in an outdoor setting with varying weather conditions
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, job specifications, technical procedures, and/or government regulations
• Valid Driver’s license
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook and Excel
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow instructions, perform work in accordance with job specifications and safety guidelines, and maintain a strong level of professionalism

Working Conditions

Physical surroundings: Field environment with exposure to heights, noise, and varying temperatures. General office environment with typical office machines and exposure to noise and temperature.

Physical Effort: Extensive sitting, standing, bending, walking, kneeling, and climbing ladders. Ability to lift more than 25 lbs. regularly, 50 lbs. on occasion.

Travel: Mostly local; within 1 hour.

Pay

$70,000 to $80,000; based on experience. This position may also be eligible for bonuses, benefits, and other forms of compensation.
