Production Engineering Test Technician

About the Role

The Production Test Technician is primarily responsible for maintaining test equipment fully functional and in accordance with internal quality standards. Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth execution of daily production.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot test equipment
• Report downtimes for the different test stations
• Monitor first pass yield and drive continuous improvement activities
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance procedures
• Monitor and maintain an inventory of test stand equipment
• Perform basic electrical wiring tasks for voltages ranging from 120-volts / 24VDC
• Maintain test schedules as established by management
• Operate and observe ongoing testing and report daily to corresponding test engineers
• Perform basic measurements using scales, calipers, multimeters, thermal probes, etc.
• Keep test equipment and tools organized and maintain lab cleanliness
• Keep records of testing history
• Share data files with the engineering team
• Demonstrate a positive, team-oriented attitude and pitch in where needed to get the job done

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or 7+ years of relevant work experience
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
• Electrical aptitude
• Able to read electric schematic diagrams
• Basic hand tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher education
• Programming skills
• Knowledge of basic electronic measurement instrumentation
• Able to work autonomously with a pronounced sense of initiative
