Production Engineer
Responsibilities
- Create project specific submittals for customer support.
- Generate Bills Of Materials, including parent and child part codes.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and environmental requirements.
- Maintain production progress and offer necessary assistance in interpreting drawings.
- Validate equipment capabilities, material availability, and necessary skill sets for manufacturing projects.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for production projects, including labor, materials, and overhead costs.
- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to create accurate estimates.
- Review and adjust estimates based on project changes and updates.
Qualifications
- B.S. Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
- 0-3 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Familiarity with basic engineering principles and strong mathematical ability; solid understanding of geometry and trigonometry is required.
- Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Working knowledge in computer aided design/drawing software such as SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail oriented and analytical.
- Quick learner and self-motivated; possess ability to promptly accomplish tasks with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with AWWA specifications, ASTM standards and/or ASME boiler & pressure vessel code as relevant to the piping and coupling industry would be beneficial.
- General knowledge of steel fabrication techniques and properties of materials.
- Familiarity with database management would be beneficial.
