Job Summary
The Specialist I, Production Data Analyst, supports the production team by analyzing, interpreting, and managing production data to improve operational efficiency. This role plays a key role in monitoring performance, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to support continuous improvement within the manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, organize, and analyze production data from various manufacturing processes, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track production efficiency, yield rates, downtime, and other critical metrics.
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to communicate insights to management and production teams.
- Identify trends, anomalies, and potential areas for improvement in production performance.
- Collaborate with production, quality control, and engineering teams to identify and resolve data-related issues.
- Support the implementation of data-driven solutions to enhance production workflows and achieve efficiency goals.
- Conduct root cause analysis for production-related issues and assist in recommending corrective actions.
- Perform ad-hoc data analysis and reporting requests as needed by leadership.
- Ensure that all production data is accurately documented and maintained in compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Data Science, Statistics, or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong proficiency with data analysis tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience with production data systems, ERP systems, or manufacturing software is an asset.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and actionable manner.
- Able to work independently and collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is an asset.
Working Conditions
