Position Summary
The Production Core Operator (PCO) at Welch's will operate equipment to produce high-quality food and beverage products, performing autonomous activities such as oiling and greasing machines, changeovers, lock-out/tag-out, and other minor adjustments. Operators will rotate between and maintain qualifications and cross-functional skills for all Flexline tasks. This is a 12-month bid position with a pay rate of $29.30 per hour.
What You'll Do
- Operate equipment using human-machine interface control technology to achieve department objectives.
- Observe operations and ensure schedules are met and quality standards are maintained.
- Perform autonomous maintenance activities including oiling and greasing machines, changeovers, lock-out/tag-out, and other minor adjustments.
- Submit reports summarizing daily production operations.
- Inspect and test production line set-ups to ensure proper operation of all equipment.
- Maintain equipment to ensure it functions properly.
- Perform product quality checks including CCPs, juice attributes, product specification validations, and other necessary testing and documentation.
- Perform equipment CIPs as necessary, including equipment swabbing, inspections, and additional validations.
- Ensure adequate quantities of production supplies and ingredients are available.
- Pre-clean and sanitize equipment, work area, and surrounding areas of the line.
- Understand and operate all necessary systems, equipment, controllers, etc., to perform job duties.
- Adhere to all Safety, Quality, and housekeeping standards.
- Take necessary precautions and utilize appropriate safety equipment when required.
- Attend annual Food Defense training sessions.

What You'll Need
- A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Experience as a Production Worker, Manufacturing Associate, Material Handler, General Labor, or other Manufacturing or industrial role.
- Experience in a food and beverage manufacturing environment preferred.
