Production Control Specialist
Job Responsibilities & Requirements
- Aids in the production planning process by coordinating customer orders, monitoring order progress, and maintaining accurate records.
- Updates and maintains the production schedule under supervision.
- Provides basic lead-time information for sales orders using the ERP system.
- Prepares production schedules based on existing orders and customer priorities.
- Participates in routine inventory tasks such as cycle counts.
- Communicates order status and basic scheduling details with internal departments like manufacturing, customer service, and logistics.
- Tracks inventory levels and incoming materials under guidance from senior staff.
- Enters and reviews data to ensure order and inventory accuracy.
- Performs basic analysis related to production timing and capacity under direction.
Qualifications
- High School/GED required.
- Associates degree in a related field preferred.
- Equivalent combination of experience and education acceptable.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production control environment.
- Basic understanding of ERP systems or willingness to learn.
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications.
Physical Demands
- Primarily performed in an office environment.
- May require exposure to temperature changes, noise, vibration, chemicals/fumes, and navigating around factory machines.
