Job Responsibilities & Requirements

  • Aids in the production planning process by coordinating customer orders, monitoring order progress, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Updates and maintains the production schedule under supervision.
  • Provides basic lead-time information for sales orders using the ERP system.
  • Prepares production schedules based on existing orders and customer priorities.
  • Participates in routine inventory tasks such as cycle counts.
  • Communicates order status and basic scheduling details with internal departments like manufacturing, customer service, and logistics.
  • Tracks inventory levels and incoming materials under guidance from senior staff.
  • Enters and reviews data to ensure order and inventory accuracy.
  • Performs basic analysis related to production timing and capacity under direction.

Qualifications

  • High School/GED required.
  • Associates degree in a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of experience and education acceptable.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production control environment.
  • Basic understanding of ERP systems or willingness to learn.
  • Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications.

Physical Demands

  • Primarily performed in an office environment.
  • May require exposure to temperature changes, noise, vibration, chemicals/fumes, and navigating around factory machines.
