Production Control Engineer II

Enterprise Healthcare client has an immediate opening for a highly motivated Production Control Engineer II to join their dynamic and growing team in Amherst, New York. This is a contract role with work hours from 8am to 5pm.

Responsibilities

• Manages daily operations of production control activities for systems software and hardware, data, and applications.
• Works with product teams to define, architect, and implement tools to enhance availability, scalability, cost-efficiency, and performance of the IT environment.
• Ensures capacity planning for the IT environment and implements performance metrics and event-driven alerting.
• Provides second-level production support and maintains system management tools.
• Participates in disaster recovery processes/exercises and ensures preventive maintenance activities are carried out to maintain business continuity.
• Ensures that major revisions to applications in production are passed after thorough testing and proper documentation according to change management and software development life cycle.
• Recommends suitable software solutions and ideas for automating tasks of daily operations.
• Documents standard operating procedures and shares frequent progress reports/updates with required stakeholders.
• Performs other duties as assigned and complies with all policies and standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.

• Networking infrastructure, data center hardware, IT operations, monitoring systems, servers, networking devices.
• Workday and other relevant software solutions.
• Ability to work independently, administration, data collection, decommissioning, electrical systems, cabling infrastructure.
• Hardware installation, mathematics, statistics, managed healthcare, metrics, industry regulations, structured cabling.
• Soft skills: easy-going, ability to establish facts, consolidation, testing.

Pay

$30.34 - $40.34 per hour.
