Production Control Clerk

About the Role

The Production Control Clerk must have a comprehensive knowledge of the applicable supply and maintenance management processes, related regulations and is required to ensure effective execution of the function. The Production Control Clerk must possess operational skill and knowledge of the automated supply systems utilized.

Responsibilities

• Compile and record production data from customer orders, work tickets, product specifications, and individual worker production sheets following prescribed recording procedures and using different word processing techniques.
• Ensure timely and accurate data entry into Army systems such as GCSS-Army, DPAS, or LMP.
• Maintain logs, spreadsheets, and reports for daily, weekly, and monthly activity.
• Support audit readiness by maintaining accurate and compliant material records.
• Write production reports based on data compiled, tabulated and computed, following prescribed formats.
• Maintain files of documents used and prepared.
• Compile detailed production sheets or work tickets for use by production workers as guides in assembly or manufacture of products.
• Sort and distribute work tickets or material.
• Compute wages from employee timecards and post data on records used for preparation of payroll.
• Monitor equipment requiring maintenance by creating evacuation work orders, coordinating the transfer of equipment to the repair shop, and ensuring proper receipt once repairs are completed.

Physical Demands & Working Environment

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Perform routine standing, walking, bending, and reaching tasks in warehouse and field environments.
• Meet all physical requirements necessary to perform assigned duties, including working in extreme heat or cold, high or low humidity, blowing sand and dust, confined spaces, heights, and other inclement weather conditions.
• Work both indoors and outdoors.
• Periodic overtime.
• Exposure to heat, dust, cold, and adverse weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Experience: 2-3 years production control experience.
• Must have GCSS-A experience.
• GCSS-A Certification.
• Must have the ability to receive a favorable Tier-1 Investigation result and obtain/maintain a CAC.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
• Must be able to obtain Tier‑1/NACI (Public trust) background eligibility.
• Must have the ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.
• Must receive a favorable background check and drug testing results.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Must have a valid driver's license with proof of vehicle insurance.
• Must have a Real ID.
• Basic proficiency in the English language (reading and writing).
• Must be able to travel within the United States as required.
• This position may require up to 25% travel.

Employees may be required to perform other duties as assigned. This position is contingent upon contract award and funding. Applicants selected may be offered but cannot begin work until funding has been confirmed.
