About the role

The Production Control position at Bodycote, a leading thermal processing services provider, offers a unique opportunity to join a global workforce of skilled professionals. Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen and basic physical examination.

Responsibilities

  • Review customer PO's and ensure all necessary paperwork is correct for processing.
  • Work with customers to resolve any PO issues.
  • Enter jobs into JOP system (selecting cycle/unit/parameters/etc.) as appropriate.
  • Create and issue credit memos as needed.
  • Create customer Certifications as needed.
  • Provide customer service for customers.
  • Absorb day-to-day responsibilities of the Production Supervisor.
  • Aid the Sales department with monthly reports and customer inquiries within the ERP system.
  • Send order confirmations for customer Purchase Orders.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned or instructed.
  • Ensure all paperwork is complete and accurate.
  • Arrange for shipping of completed orders to customers.
  • Follow established work procedures and control measures (including the use of PPE where issued) and any applicable SHE rules.
  • Promote safety and good housekeeping practices.
  • Report SHE incidents including near misses and unsafe acts / conditions immediately.
  • Suggest areas for improvement to their manager.
  • Must work in a manner consistent with the EMS.

Qualifications

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements, therefore candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holders.
  • Education – High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Experience using SAP highly preferred.
  • Stable work history required.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate the English language required.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience of computer applications including Microsoft Office and databases is required.
  • Mechanical/Warehouse background preferred.

Physical & Mental Demands

  • Must be able to work in a standing or seated position for extended periods of time in an office/industrial environment.
  • Manual dexterity to perform data entry functions.
  • Ability to bend, pull, stoop and reach to perform functions.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc.
  • Ability to hear in person and via phone.

Pay

The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Schedule

The hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 7am-3pm.
