Production Chemical Operator

About the role

Englewood, OH - Multiple openings available. Full benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, and 401(K). Room for growth with tuition reimbursement program. Safety equipment, uniforms, and uniform cleaning provided. Schedule: 12-hour day, 2-3-2 shift.

Responsibilities

• Review chemical reactions and laboratory test reports to make process adjustments and calculations.
• Patrol production area, inspect equipment for hazards, and record accurate readings and data.
• Manually regulate or shut down equipment during emergencies, following established procedures.
• Maintain and operate packaging process equipment to meet quality standards.
• Maintain production areas to acceptable standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
• Interact effectively with other employees in a team environment.
• Conduct and document inspections on safety equipment, process equipment, and forklifts.
• Ensure personal training requirements are met and prepare safe work permits for maintenance and projects.
• Handle spills, recognize hazardous materials, and contact EH&S for potentially hazardous waste.
• Collect, label, and store hazardous waste in designated areas.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or equivalent
• Proven stable and dedicated work history
• Solid computer and math skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to work 12-hour shift schedule and lift up to 50 pounds
