Chemical Production Operator

About the role

As a Chemical Production Operator, you will be responsible for manufacturing, packaging, and labeling various bulk industrial chemical products. This includes reviewing batch sheets and instructions, weighing and staging chemicals, preparing chemicals for manufacturing, controlling reactions, performing quality control tests, and labeling products.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing batch sheets and instructions
• Weighing and staging chemicals
• Preparing chemicals for manufacturing and initiating the production process
• Continually observing and monitoring reactions according to written procedures
• Controlling reactions, adjusting equipment, and making additions as necessary for desired outcome
• Performing quality control tests and making adjustments as needed
• Filing totes or other required packaging
• Labeling products as required
• Other duties as needed

Requirements

• Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent
• Solid math skills
• Ability to lift 55 lbs
• Ability to wear a respirator
• Sit-down forklift experience preferred
• Experience with chemicals preferred

Qualifications

• Ability to work a day shift Monday through Friday
• Starting pay is $21/hour, with higher rates available based on experience
• The position is located at our Palm Commodities International, LLC facility in LaVergne, Tennessee
• The facility is a Drug-Free Workplace, and pre-employment drug testing is required
