About the role
The Production Cell Leader is responsible for overseeing a production cell, focusing on safety, quality, and performance. They collaborate with their department to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, providing leadership, training, and support to team members.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute plans for efficient use of materials, machines, and personnel to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- Model leadership best practices to build a strong, motivated, and engaged team within a positive work environment.
- Troubleshoot and utilize root cause analysis techniques to develop robust permanent actions for customer complaints and internal production issues.
- Manage daily priorities within the department, ensuring safety, quality, and performance standards are met.
- Uphold safety, GMP, ISO, SPC, and other quality standards.
- Drive operational excellence within the department, championing a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or a similar technical area; OR, three to five years related experience and/or training; OR, equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience leading a team in a manufacturing environment.
- Willingness to assist with technical troubleshooting as well as operate production equipment through relief periods as needed.
- Strong leadership, social, and interpersonal skills to be able to lead effectively, relate to team members, and motivate individuals.
