Production Associate II - Material Handler 3rd shift

About the role

This position is responsible for the fabrication and production of component parts for the final assembly of windows. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands. This role performs tasks across various departments.

Responsibilities

• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units
• Support window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading materials or windows
• Perform workstation functions using hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers
• Understand and carry out verbal and simple written instructions
• Read work orders, labels, and schedules
• Use a tape measure, inspect, examine, and observe for product defects
• Make fraction and decimal conversions
• Operate equipment needed to perform job functions
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees
• Read and perform work as assigned by the department supervisor
• Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packaging
• Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Perform general labor duties as assigned

Requirements

• Forklift experience (required)
• High school diploma or GED
• Good attitude and team-oriented mindset
• Dependable and energetic
• Flexible to work day or night shifts and weekends if needed
• Able to read a tape measure
• Overhead crane and forklift experience (a plus)
• Mechanically inclined

Pay

Base pay rate: $17.00 per hour plus a $1.00 shift differential.

Schedule

3rd shift: 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Sunday through Thursday, with overtime as needed.

Full-time is defined as regularly working 30+ hours per week. Union programs may vary depending on the collective bargaining agreement.
