About the role
Join our team specializing in Manufacturing at the Cummins Inc. facility in York, SC as a Production Associate – Level II. In this role, you will contribute to safety, quality, and continuous improvement efforts.
Responsibilities
- Ensure safety by stopping work and reporting major injury hazards immediately.
- Report any work-related injuries, illnesses, incidents, or hazards promptly to foster a proactive safety culture.
- Adhere to HSE standards, policies, procedures, and regulations to meet safety and environmental guidelines.
- Consistently use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to protect yourself and colleagues.
- Promote team safety by looking out for one another and encouraging interdependence.
- Recognize and minimize the negative impact of your work on the environment to support sustainability.
- Maintain high product standards by following standard work, process documentation, and quality procedures to reduce costs.
- Actively participate in training and development to improve quality, safety, and processes.
- Develop and deliver clear, multi-mode communications tailored to different audiences.
- Address difficult issues directly and transparently to resolve problems quickly.
- Consistently achieve goals, even under challenging circumstances, to meet production targets.

- Inspect welds visually for defects such as porosity, undercut, pinholes, and uneven welds for quality assurance.

Requirements
- High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education, or equivalent experience meeting applicable regulations.
- Some work experience or intermediate-level knowledge obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.
- Knowledge of welding applications and ability to visually inspect welds for defects.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
