Production Associate I

About the role

Reporting to the production shift supervisor, the Production Associate I is responsible for packing products in a quick and safe manner.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with other departments and teams
• Monitor and report on the quality of manufactured products
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
• Perform all duties as designated by supervisor/manager
• Help other departments as needed
• Overtime may be required at times

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment
• A “get it done” attitude and urgency to resolve problems/tasks
• The ability to easily lift up to 50 lbs.
• Previous forklift certification and safe operation
• The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Working knowledge of Sonoco's products and quality requirements
• Reliability, initiative, commitment, and quality focus
• Effective teamwork in a fast-paced environment
• The ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions
• The ability to perform repetitive duties, including going up and down stairs and standing for long periods of time
• The ability to work quickly while maintaining high craftsmanship and attention to detail

Pay

• $20.08 per hour + $2.00 shift differential

Schedule

• 2nd shift M-F 3:00pm to 11:30pm with weekends and overtime as needed
