Responsibilities

• Collaborating closely with other departments and teams
• Having the ability to think on your feet and troubleshoot problems and situations
• Making incremental process adjustments, monitoring and reporting quality of manufactured product
• Performing all duties in support of Sonoco’s quality and safety policies
• Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills to set up new jobs
• Maintaining a safe, clean and organized work area
• Performing all duties as designated by supervisor/manager
• Helping other departments as needed

Requirements

• We expect you to be Sonoco mission-driven
• You have previous experience in packing/warehousing
• You have a “get it done” attitude and an urgency to resolve problems/tasks
• You are willing to work outside of regular shift hours including weekends if production or customer demands require it
• You are reliable, have good initiative, are committed and quality-focused
• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• You can work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• You can read and understand manufacturing instructions
• You can perform repetitious duties, including stairs and standing for long periods of time
• You can work quickly while maintaining a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail

4 shifts on, 4 shifts off; rotating shifts
