Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support and adhere to Parker’s Code of Ethics, policies, and procedures and observe housekeeping guidelines.
  • Operates a variety of production equipment, assembles various components into completed or partially completed products or assemblies.
  • Follows established safety and environmental policies, procedures, and methods applicable to the work area.
  • Performs assigned duties in conformance with established production standards and following established work instruction.
  • Uses hand tools safely and effectively (press, torque wrenches, drills, etc.).
  • Aids in testing completed product.
  • Responsible for maintaining quality of work utilizing judgement, measuring devices and gauges.
  • Participates in problem solving, continuous improvement, and customer complaint resolution efforts.
  • Participates in daily area clean up and more significant facility clean-up efforts as assigned.
  • Accepts reassignment to other departments as workload dictates.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Type

  • Full - Time

Shift/Pay Rate

  • 17.50 hourly, Weekly pay.

Work Schedule

  • You are expected to work two Mandatory Saturdays out of each month; every other Saturday.

Language Skills

  • Ability to read and comprehend written and oral instructions, work orders, procedures, prints, and short correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in written form with engineers, managers, and other associates to share information and help to solve problems.

Mathematical Skills

  • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers.

Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Other Skills and Abilities

  • Computer skills including MS Word and Excel preferred.
  • May require climbing ladders.
