About the role

We are hiring a Production Associate (Cylinder Filler) in Dundalk, MD. The position involves handling and filling gas products into various types of cylinders, ensuring compliance with regulations and standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews and ensures cylinders prior to filling, adhering to established guidelines.
  • Conducts safety checks, including odor tests and valve inspections.
  • Analyzes product purity and mixtures.
  • Carefully handles high-pressure, medical, and liquid cylinders.
  • Prepares cylinders for filling by evacuating them.
  • Fills cylinders according to regulations and standards.
  • Assists with loading and unloading cylinders onto pallets and trucks.
  • Maintains accurate records to meet DOT, FDA, OSHA, and Airgas standards.
  • Completes quality control sheets as required.
  • Keeps up-to-date with hazards of various gases and understands cylinder labeling.
  • Supports accurate labeling of cylinders.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Experience utilizing SAP or similar ERP systems (preferred).
  • Intermediate knowledge of Google Suite or Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure.
  • Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
  • Lives by Airgas safety programs, OSHA, and relevant rules.
  • A minimum of 1 year of related technical experience.

Qualifications

  • High school degree or GED required.
  • Prior experience utilizing SAP or similar ERP system preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Google Suite or Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic math operations.
  • Knowledge of gas hazards and cylinder labeling.
  • Experience with forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and Airgas policies.
