About the role

Production Associate position located in Sumter, South Carolina. This is a 12‑month contract role.

Responsibilities

• Performs any combination of tasks involved in the fabrication, manufacture, assembly, testing and packaging of medical devices
• Setting up, operating, performing maintenance on and troubleshooting equipment
• May conduct quality inspections on the processing line in accordance with quality specifications
• Works within clearly defined SOPs and/or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines

Requirements

• Steel toe shoes required
• Ability to inspect parts
• No drug screening required; candidate can start while background checks are in process
• Eye exam required contingent upon hire; must have 20/30 vision with or without corrective lenses and/or pass a color vision exam
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
• High school diploma or GED required
• Zero to one year of manufacturing assembly experience
• Effective communication skills understandable to co‑workers and team lead/supervisor
• Ability to read, write, interpret and comprehend specifications written in English and perform basic math calculations
• Ability to use basic tools of measurement, such as microscopes
• Ability to work flexible and/or extended hours and report to work regularly and punctually
• Good attention to detail
• Ability to get along with people and work in a team environment
• Willingness to rotate into different tasks and responsibilities
• Physical demands: regularly required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods; occasionally required to lift or move at least 50 pounds

Pay

$15.90 per hour

Schedule

Day shift 8 AM–8 PM. E shift pattern: 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off; weekends included.
