Production Associate 1 - 2nd Shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM)

About the role

As a Production Associate at our State College site, you will be involved in manufacturing, assembly, cleaning, and packaging of diagnostic medical ultrasound transducers used across clinical applications including surgery, urology, cardiology, and radiology. This is a team-based production environment where operators pass work to the next in the queue within a high-mix, low-volume, regulated manufacturing setting that combines advanced engineering, precision manufacturing, and lifecycle support.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety standards; identify near misses and unsafe conditions, and act and report to immediate mentor, team leader or supervisor.
• Follow work instructions for specific operations to ensure production according to quality standards; flag process problems to the team leader, and take ownership of quality performance without reliance on the firewall.
• Organize work to achieve individual objectives while demonstrating commitment to meeting team objectives.
• Demonstrate the importance of meeting costs, time and quality requirements of the job by always striving to achieve them.
• Follow work instructions for specific operations in order to ensure production according to schedules.
• Meet the skill requirements for specific operations as per company standards.
• Identify any potential job delays that will cause deviation to the standard process, and act and report to immediate mentor, team leader or supervisor.
• Maintain a tidy area, put tools in their proper place, keep working areas free from hazards.
• Seek to understand received job information, and make improvements; help meet requirements of standard cycle time and man hours.
• Conduct daily 5S inspections as required; support Kaizen workshops and continuous improvement activities as required.
• Provide feedback to team leader or supervisor on information on lessons learnt, and provide, support implementation of improvement ideas in the allocated area of work.
• Perform time registration accordingly to guidelines, clock on and off at correct times, and respect working hours; communicate task completion according to guidelines.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED/equivalent.
• Basic computer proficiency; capability to use a computer and enter accurate data; Microsoft Office experience.
• Must be able to sit or stand at a workstation for extended periods of time and complete tasks using a microscope.
• The ability to follow both verbal and written instructions along with strong communication skills.
• Being flexible to changing needs of the business and department and will work overtime as needed.
• Good manual dexterity.
• Highly organized, self-managed individual who works independently with minimum supervision and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship will be provided for this opening.
