Production Associate - 2nd Shift - Days Off: Saturday & Sunday

This role follows a 2nd shift schedule, working from 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM, with designated days off on Saturday and Sunday.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks according to standard operating procedures (SOP) and best practices (BP).
• Label assigned packaging, portion ingredients to their appropriate measurements, and meal bag correct quantities as directed by Line Lead and/or Team Lead.
• Work in a fast-paced environment and reach daily goals set by Supervisor.
• Maintain a detail-oriented approach and a clean workspace.
• Follow GMP and PPE standards, including safety goggles, blue aprons, white plastic sleeves, and captive footwear.
• Report any damages, missing parts, or foreign materials immediately to FSQA/Leadership.
• Follow all recipes and instructions to create compound ingredients in correct proportions.
• Bring improvement ideas to RTH leadership and continuously work to improve processes.
• Execute normal production functions/tasks or as assigned when not assisting with RTH-specific tasks (e.g., labeling, portioning, meal bagging).
• Receive direction from Supervisor, Line Lead, and/or Team Lead to fulfill production requirements.
• Label packaging at the standard average rate.
• Use proper measuring utensils to portion ingredients accurately.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail while picking ingredients in the meal bagging/kitting process.
• Transition between tasks as needed.
• Work at a fast pace with strong attention to detail in shipping to meet team goals.
• Follow all GMPs while onsite and keep the work area clean at all times; assist in end-of-day cleanups.
• Support the company’s efforts to maintain our food safety system (SQF) and quality programs.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines, including proper lifting techniques.

Requirements

• HS Diploma preferred but not required.
• 6+ months of production/warehouse environment experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively as part of a team.

Pay

Home Chef offers the base salary range as posted below, with the exact offer depending on factors such as geographic location, experience, skills, and internal equity. Illinois Pay Range: $17.75 USD - $17.75 USD. In addition to base salary, Home Chef provides a comprehensive benefits package, including healthcare coverage, 401k match, and paid time off.
