Production Assistant

Job Summary

The Operator role is responsible for carrying out assigned tasks in compliance with Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Upon certification, the team member will receive training and support from their Team Leader to attain relevant certifications.

Job Responsibilities

• Contribute to creating a Great Place to Work by embodying safety-first and Kaizen mind-sets
• Hold oneself and colleagues accountable to the company's culture principles
• Comply with standard work and training, reporting any problems immediately to the Team Leader
• Follow GKN Aerospace Health, Safety and Environmental policies and standards
• Understand and contribute to key performance indicators related to People, Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cash and Cost
• Implement at least one Kaizen per month and support problem-solving efforts
• Actively engage with the team and promote collective collaboration
• Comply with all legal and regulatory requirements including Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action policies, Compliance and Ethics Policy, and Export Control regulations

Required Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or GED
• At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment
• A safety-minded approach

Preferred Qualifications

• A track record of Kaizen implementation
• Experience with Lean Operating Models or Production Systems
• Aerospace experience
• A passion for the Aerospace industry
• Experience operating an overhead crane and Forklift Certification
• Waste Water experience
