Production Assistant
About the role
Farwest Steel Corporation seeks a dependable individual to join their team as Production Assistant. This role involves processing orders cut on burning machines, assisting in other areas of the warehouse, and loading/unloading vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Identify parts associated with a specific order, process parts, and clean up per instructions on the work order using grinders and hand tools.
- Stack parts on pallets or in bundles and mark with pertinent information from the work order for delivery or storage.
- Remove small cut parts from the burning tables by hand when needed.
- Identify all questionable quality issues and present them for review by the supervisor to ensure that customer expectations are met on every order.
- Load and unload vehicles including inbound deliveries and customer will calls.
- Sort and prepare parts for the processing area.
- Occasional forklift and crane operation as needed.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent (optional).
- Prior Warehouse Experience is a plus; training will be provided.
- Attention to detail and awareness of surroundings.
- Effective verbal and written communication in English.
- Ability to make mathematical calculations and read a tape measure.
Qualifications

Pay
$18.50 - $21.50, depending on experience. Swing shift has a $1.25 shift differential. Wage reviews/adjustments every 6 months for entry level wages.
Schedule
Monday - Friday Day, 7:00am to 3:30pm
Swing, 3:00pm to 11:30am
