Production Assembler II
Position Summary
The Production Assembler II is responsible for assembling individual components into a finished product on a production line while following detailed instructions and quality standards. Assemblers often use hand tools and machinery to accurately position and fasten parts together, ensuring the final product meets required specifications.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Advanced training in J-STD-001/IPC-620 standards
Experience: 5 + years previous assembly experience required
Knowledge: Working knowledge of basic assembly procedures
Previous knowledge of cable and wire harness assembly required
Job Responsibilities
Assemble assigned product parts on assembly line in accordance with production guidelines
Read and understand drawings, travelers, bills of material
Use measuring tools, crimp tools, wire cutting equipment and stripping machines
Hand crimping
Spot tie and continuous lacing
Heat shrink sleeving and boots
Solder pins, contacts and solder cups, solder sleeves, bus wire splice
Perform job functions with minimum supervision
Perform spot checks of products to ensure adherence to approved quality standards
Notify management of product discrepancies or equipment malfunctions
Adhere to established company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations
Wear personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines
Maintain an organized and clean work area
Perform other related duties as assigned
Provide on-the-job training and coaching to new assemblers
Attend required trainings for program specific requirements
Internal and External Relationships
This position interacts with production, quality, and engineering departments on a regular basis
