Production Assembler II

Responsibilities

• Test and calibrate parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications.
• Assemble fabricated parts, components, or units at floor stations using hand tools and power tools.
• Identify and repair units that fail tests or tolerance levels.
• Work on precise and complicated assemblies.
• Assist less experienced team members with knowledge and expertise.
• Assemble, inspect, document, and test simple and complex assemblies.
• Operate production machines such as pneumatic riveters, spot welders, arbor presses, punch presses, and break presses.
• Perform multiple tasks at several workstations as production needs require.
• Provide operation and process training.

Requirements

• Ability to effectively read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Ability to understand and complete assigned paperwork and shop travelers.
• Ability to follow internal procedures and policies.
• Ability to follow verbal, written, or diagram instructions.
• Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers and common fractions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1-3 years of related experience.
