About the Role

Chart Industries is a leader in the design and fabrication of cryogenic equipment, solving customer challenges from conceptual design to installation and commissioning. This role supports our Fan Shop Operations, contributing to diverse applications such as hydrogen solutions, carbon capture, water treatment, space launches, marine decarbonization, and food and beverage technology.

Responsibilities

  • Performs general manual labor tasks, including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving HUB assembly materials.
  • Assembles HUBS per engineering design or leadership direction.
  • Works with leads and coordinators to report equipment malfunction, quality, safety, and other departmental issues.
  • Utilizes hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move material to and from hub assembly work areas.
  • Maintains good housekeeping and organization throughout the department.
  • Ensures all products have proper identification.
  • Performs other tasks assigned by leads or designees.
  • Complies with HSE policies, including daily JSA reviews and tool-box meetings.
  • Complies with all Chart policies and procedures.

Work Environment

  • Walking, standing, use of hands, bending, lifting, and sitting for up to 12-hour shifts in a manufacturing setting.
  • Indoor/outdoor working conditions in hot or cold environments.
  • Lifting materials up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to stand for long periods and demonstrate manual dexterity, including the use of power tools.
  • Mandatory use of PPE at all times: safety glasses, hard hat, cut-resistant gloves, cut-resistant sleeves, safety shoes, ear plugs, etc.
  • Able to work overtime as needed based on schedule and backlog demand.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in a manufacturing setting, fast-paced environment, or construction.
  • Manual dexterity required for operating machinery.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Team-work oriented and safety-conscious.
  • Basic written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and understand a tape measure.
