About the Role

The Production Assembler plays a crucial role in the manufacturing process, contributing to the manufacture of high-quality products. This position requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to quality standards to achieve set production goals while maintaining a safe and clean work environment. The role leverages Lean manufacturing tools to enhance efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Follow established work instructions to properly assemble products and/or different parts of products.
  • Achieve established goals or deadlines set for specific work areas.
  • Complete all required paperwork and/or data entry.
  • Work at different workstations as production needs require.
  • Attendance and dependability are essential; report to work on time and follow attendance guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • 1-3 months of related experience and/or training preferred.

Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work instructions, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to perform basic math.
  • Ability to read and interpret tape measurements accurately.
  • Adapts to changes in the work environment; manages competing demands; changes approach or method to best fit the situation.
  • Responds promptly to customer needs; meets commitments.
  • Follows instructions, responds to management direction; takes responsibility for own actions.
  • Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan.
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; looks for ways to improve and promote quality.
  • Observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.
  • Balances team and individual responsibilities; contributes to building a positive team spirit.
  • Speaks clearly and persuasively; listens and gets clarification; participates in meetings.

Physical Requirements

  • Subject to Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Physical activities include: reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
  • Visual acuity required for operating machines and performing mechanical or skilled trades tasks.

Working Conditions

The worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, including heat, noise, vibration, and hazards from a production-based environment.
