Production Assembler

5:00 am–3:30 pm Monday through Friday, off on weekends in West Monroe, LA.

About the Role

The Production Assembler plays a crucial role in the manufacturing process, contributing to the manufacture of high-quality products. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to quality standards while achieving set production goals and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow established work instructions to properly assemble products and/or different parts of products.
• Achieve established goals or deadlines set for specific work areas.
• Operate required equipment per safety guidelines.
• Complete all required paperwork and/or data entry.
• Work at different workstations as production needs require.
• Report to work on time and follow attendance guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• 1–3 months of related experience and/or training preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work instructions, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to use assembly tools and read and interpret tape measurements accurately.

Physical Requirements

• Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Physical activities include: reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
• Visual acuity required for operating machines such as lathes, drill presses, power saws, and mills, as well as performing mechanical or skilled trades tasks.

Working Conditions

The worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, including heat, noise, vibration, and hazards from a production-based environment.
