Production Assembler
Duties And Responsibilities
- Operate marking equipment or machines following established work instructions
- Bag, tag, label, and package parts and assemblies accurately
- Verify part numbers, quantities, and identification prior to packaging
- Inspect parts for obvious defects or damage prior to marking and packaging
- Maintain accurate labeling and documentation as required
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies at all times
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Meet daily production goals and quality standards
- Notify supervision of equipment issues, material shortages, or quality concerns
- Perform other non-technical production tasks as assigned
Education, Experience, And Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- No prior electrical or technical experience required
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Basic attention to detail and quality
- Basic computer or machine interface skills preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must demonstrate professional, respectful behavior with coworkers and supervisors
Physical Requirements
- Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time
- Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen
- Must have sufficient mobility to include but not limited to bending, reaching, climbing, turning, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner
- Walking moderate to long distances may be required
- Must be able to lift/carry/push/pull/move items frequently over 20 pounds
- Occasionally required to lift/carry/push/pull/move heavy objects up to 50 pounds
Position Summary
This is a part-time, temporary position responsible for performing routine, non-technical production tasks in a manufacturing environment. Duties primarily include machine-assisted marking, bagging, tagging, and packaging of parts and assemblies in accordance with established work instructions and quality standards.
Employment
Employment is expected to be temporary based on business needs and does not guarantee continued or full-time employment.
Work Environment
The environmental characteristic for this position is an aircraft hangar, warehouse setting and outdoors. Candidates should be able to adapt to environments listed. There may be exposure to high noises, exposure to chemicals and cleaning agents, and Personal Protection Equipment may be required for certain tasks.
Schedule
Part-time hours scheduled during regular business hours, Monday-Friday. Schedule may vary based on production needs.
Pay
$15 - $18 per hour
