About the role
This role supports the creation of print-ready and fabricated visual materials, including posters, floor graphics, packaging graphics, dimensional lettering, event displays, and custom signage. The ideal candidate combines strong production art and file preparation expertise with hands-on fabrication experience and a commitment to delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer support through phone, email, and in-person interactions while helping clients identify effective production solutions.
- Consult with clients to understand project scope, materials, quantities, fabrication requirements, and delivery timelines.
- Estimate project costs and support pricing for both small and large-scale graphics and signage projects.
- Prepare, review, and process digital artwork files for production, ensuring accuracy and print readiness.
- Conduct preflight reviews, proofing, color correction, and file adjustments to meet production specifications.
- Operate large format printing equipment and manage print production workflows.
- Produce print materials including posters, floor graphics, event displays, packaging graphics, and custom signage.
- Support fabrication activities including vinyl application, trimming, routing, laminating, mounting, framing, and finishing.
- Set up and operate CNC routing and laser cutting equipment for custom projects.
- Assemble signs and displays using a variety of materials while ensuring quality and accuracy.
- Install graphics, signage, and dimensional elements in indoor and outdoor environments.
- Troubleshoot production issues and maintain consistent quality standards throughout the production process.
- Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and clients to ensure projects are completed on time and to specification.
- Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient production environment while meeting tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in print production, production art, graphics production, or sign shop environments.
- High School Diploma required.
- Strong expertise in large format printing, file preparation, color management, RIP software (ONYX and/or VersaWorks), and print-ready artwork production.
- Experience supporting sign fabrication and production processes, including vinyl application, dimensional graphics, routing, finishing, and installation.
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat, color matching, ICC profiling, preflight review, and print quality control.
- Proficiency working with JPEG, PNG, TIFF, PSD, EPS, AI, INDD, PDF, SVG, RAW, raster, and vector file formats.
- Familiarity with typography, typesetting, and font management.
- Experience preparing production files, ensuring correct color profiles, bleed specifications, image resolution, and output settings.
- Experience working with vinyl, acrylic, metal, wood, and foam board materials.
- Knowledge of sign assembly techniques including weeding, trimming, cutting, mounting, laminating, and framing.
- Experience creating and installing dimensional lettering and graphics.
- Familiarity with CNC routing and laser cutting equipment.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to recommend materials, fabrication methods, timelines, and alternative solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment.
- Knowledge of large format printer maintenance and troubleshooting preferred.
- Experience operating production equipment including large format printers, routers, laminators, and vinyl cutters preferred.
- Experience supporting entertainment, media, live events, themed environments, or experiential marketing projects preferred.
