About the role

As a Product Support Specialist - Financial Engineering at Moody's, you will play a crucial role in supporting clients with their technical inquiries related to Moody's credit risk products. Your responsibilities will involve analyzing application logs, SQL procedures, and error messages to diagnose and resolve issues. You will also provide in-depth education and assistance on product features, functionality, and technical architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and explain complex financial models on conceptual, intuitive, and practical levels
  • Provide thorough quantitative and conceptual solutions to clients
  • Support clients on the use of Moody's industry-leading credit risk products via various communication channels
  • Communicate effectively and develop excellent working relationships with colleagues across different teams
  • Originate content for the client Knowledge Base
  • Manage and escalate client requests appropriately while maintaining ownership of client interactions and delivery solutions
  • Track all client interactions using the CRM system

Requirements

  • Knowledge of financial mathematics (stochastic process, Monte Carlo techniques, derivative pricing, interest-rate modelling)
  • Ability to analyze technically complex problems
  • Strong knowledge of Windows based architectures and diagnostic software
  • Superb analytical skills and persistence in problem-solving
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously
  • Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Computer Science, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics
  • Master's degree in Quantitative Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, Financial Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or Accounting preferred

Pay

The anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $67,800.00 - $98,400.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
