Product Support Engineer II
About the role
Bio-Rad’s “Global Product Support Engineers” are responsible for providing support for new and current Life Science instruments and products. The responsibilities of the product support engineer two role include evaluation of product quality issues, supporting CAPA, improvement of service performance for a given product family, and sustainment activities of the assigned product family.
Responsibilities
- Monitor Product installation, performance and failure information.
- Identify Product Support improvement opportunities.
- Recommends remedial actions where appropriate.
- Support projects instrument reliability, end of life and quality improvements.
- Support New Product development projects and the commercialization of new products.
- Identify product quality improvements, coordinating corrective and preventive action, and continuous improvement with appropriate business leadership, manufacturing, and R&D groups.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Bio-Medical Engineering, Chemistry, Medical Technology Engineering, Computer Science, or another appropriate scientific discipline.
- Work Experience: 2–4 years of experience in technical support, product engineering, or a related field.
- Requires proficiency in resolving moderately complex situations requiring in-depth evaluations, troubleshooting hardware/software/firmware/assays, and experience in new product development in FDA or similar regulated environments.

- Regular interaction with R&D, Tech Support, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Quality Management, Supply Chain, Field Service and Bio-Rad Service Subsidiaries.

Pay
The estimated base salary range for this position is $96,600 to $120,800 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors.
Schedule
This position must be based in Hercules, CA and requires the employee to be located within commuting distance of the office.
