Product Specialist

Essential Duties

• Works on multiple projects simultaneously, from start to finish, in a fast-paced sales environment.
• Develops new business and manages existing client relationships, including general contractors, architects, designers, owners, and end users.
• Takes ownership of projects from initial contact through completion, coordinating with internal team members and leaders.
• Ensures detailed and accurate work throughout the process, including reading blueprints and using estimating software.
• Works in both office and field environments, including job sites.
• Possesses general business acumen, developing and implementing individual business, sales, and marketing plans.
• Visits ongoing projects daily to verify materials and methods, quality of installations, production rates, schedule progress, and adherence to safety policies.
• Schedules and allocates manpower and resources for all assigned projects to meet required schedules and maximize efficiency.
• Schedules and participates in pre-project planning meetings for large or complex projects.
• Attends pre-bid meetings as needed and submits RFIs to General Contractors as required.
• Reviews and understands project documents such as drawings, specifications, scopes of work, construction schedules, etc.

Experience & Ideal Candidate Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience preferred.
• Experience in construction or similar industries is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Critical thinking, time management, organization, and attention to detail.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Drive for new business and building relationships with clients, including general contractors, architects, designers, owners, and internal team members.
• Maintain labor relations and professional appearance and disposition.
• Work independently and as part of a team, identifying and correcting safety issues.
• Committed to working safely and staying up-to-date with necessary equipment and training requirements.
