Position Summary

The Product Specialist supports the commercial growth and technical positioning of the Allweiler Hot Oil Centrifugal Pump, Progressing Cavity Pump, and 2-Screw Pump product lines across the Americas region. This role serves as the primary regional liaison to global product management while partnering closely with sales, distributors, engineering, and operations.

Business Development (Americas)

  • Identify and develop growth opportunities for Hot Oil Centrifugal, Progressing Cavity, and 2-Screw pump product lines across priority industries and applications
  • Support regional strategy execution aligned with global product line objectives
  • Work with regional sales teams and channel partners to increase specification activity and market share
  • Aid in identifying target accounts, applications, and emerging market opportunities
  • Support competitive positioning and value messaging

Sales & Application Support

  • Provide technical-commercial support for complex opportunities
  • Aid sales teams with product selection guidance and positioning
  • Support proposal development for strategic or technically complex opportunities
  • Deliver product training to internal teams, distributors, and customers
  • Help resolve application challenges and escalate technical issues as needed

Global Product Line Coordination

  • Serve as the primary Americas liaison with Global Product Managers
  • Communicate regional market requirements, competitive insights, and customer feedback
  • Support introduction of new products and product updates into the Americas market
  • Cook up alignment between regional opportunities and global product strategy
  • Aid with lifecycle support and product positioning updates

Market Intelligence

  • Maintain a watchful eye on competitor activity, pricing trends, and application shifts
  • Provide structured feedback on regional market dynamics
  • Support development of value propositions and positioning strategies
  • Identify gaps in portfolio coverage and recommend improvement opportunities

Channel Support

  • Support distributors and OEM partners with technical and commercial positioning
  • Aid with onboarding and training for channel partners
  • Strengthen engagement in target vertical markets

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related technical field
  • 5+ years of experience in pumps, rotating equipment, or industrial fluid handling equipment
  • Demonstrated experience supporting technical sales or applications
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Ability to support customers and channel partners across the Americas region
  • Willingness to travel (~25–40%)

Preferred

  • Prior experience with rotary positive displacement pumps
  • Experience supporting Hot Oil / high-temperature centrifugal pump applications
  • Experience working with global product management teams
  • Familiarity with distributor and OEM channel structures
  • Application knowledge in energy, chemical processing, thermal fluid systems, or industrial process markets
