Product Sales Specialist Sales - Outside Sales

PURPOSE

We manage sales, supply chain, and sales support activities related to an assigned product or product line, aiming to maximize revenues and profitability, especially in relation to competitor products. We conduct comparative analysis against competitors and plan the strategic direction of our products.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned product or product line to achieve financial goals set by senior management.
  • Track product line performance against competitors and stay updated on industry trends and new product developments.
  • Plan and manage sales efforts; oversee or initiate optimal purchasing schedules.
  • Visit job sites to initiate sales and provide technical and customer support.
  • Develop short and long-range product line strategy plans, including sales and profitability objectives and performance analysis.
  • Monitor inventory, coordinate purchases and receipts, arrange for service, warranty activities, and deliveries.
  • Develop and deliver product presentations and training to the sales force and customers.
  • Work closely with Logistics, Marketing, Purchasing, and other support groups to optimize sales initiatives for assigned products or product lines.
  • Analyze consumer trends, channel dynamics, and strategies to enhance competitive advantage in the marketplace.
  • Drive value-added sales processes, manage complex proposals, and ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction by interfacing with vendors and Probuild Holdings business units to ensure a seamless experience.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business Management or related field and five (5) years product sales experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Strong knowledge of construction industry
  • High level of self-motivation
  • Strategic thinking, forecasting, and driving sales
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent presentation, negotiating, and influencing skills
  • Use of tact and skill in dealing with other staff, management, and vendors
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and an enterprise resource planning (ERP) program
