Product Quality Engineer - RMA Failure Analysis

About the role

You will be responsible for failure analysis on customer-returned server and GPU boards. A deep understanding of hardware and system design is required before any debug steps are taken.

Responsibilities

• Perform system and board-level testing and debugging down to component level on server products (BIOS, BMC, CPLD, FPGA, etc.).
• Read and interpret schematics and block diagrams with detailed understanding of server and subassembly functionality.
• Conduct visual mechanical inspection of server/GPU board components (motherboards, GPU, GPU baseboard, CPU, DIMM, NIC, SSD, power supply, etc.) and electronics components.
• Complete component-level troubleshooting (capacitors, resistors, fuses, ICs, diodes, etc.) and failure analysis, including component swapping and removal to isolate failures.
• Apply knowledge of basic Linux environment and commands.

Requirements

• 4 to 25 years of experience in hardware design, testing, or system design/testing, primarily on server products.
• Experience with VLSI board design.
• Server knowledge is highly desirable.

Qualifications

5–8 years of relevant experience.

Pay

Expected compensation ranges from $60,000 to $148,500, depending on geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience.
