Key Responsibilities
- Implement appropriate quality controls for specific products - implement specifications, control limits & trend rules in SPC software.
- Review intermediate & product control charts as part of the PCS (Process Control System) process.
- Investigate trends in product data, determine root cause, & implement corrective or improvement actions.
- Investigate & resolve out-of-control product parameters with batches in production.
- Lead Material Review Board meetings for product issues.
- Prepare qualification plan for changes led by quality team; help design qualification plan for changes owned by other functions.
- Investigate and resolve customer quality and performance complaints.
- Respond to customer requests regarding specification improvements and information on product manufacturing process (control plans, process flow, quality systems, etc).
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Materials Science.
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems of a technical nature.
- Experience using statistical techniques such as Statistical Process Control (SPC), Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA), and Failure Mode & Effect Analysis (FMEA) to improve processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in at least one of the following areas: quality engineering, formulation development, analytical science, statistics, process engineering, chemical manufacturing, semiconductor manufacturing.
- Experience working with customers and/or suppliers to resolve challenging technical problems under tight deadlines.
- Experience using formal problem-solving techniques (8D, FMEA, fishbone, 5 why, etc.) is desired.
- Experience with statistical software, such as JMP.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills along with strong attention to detail.
Pay
The Pay range for this role is $111,580.00 - $175,340.00 Annual How Base Pay is Determined: Qnity has job leveling frameworks that help organize roles based on progressive levels of responsibility, proficiency and qualifications.
