About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Product Performance Laboratory Technician to support product performance evaluations and quality investigations. This role is responsible for testing returned equipment components, diagnosing product issues, documenting laboratory findings, and supporting continuous product improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate has laboratory experience, strong analytical abilities, and experience using diagnostic tools to identify product performance concerns. This position plays an important role in supporting quality standards and improving customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine physical, chemical, and functional testing on returned equipment components.
- Diagnose product issues using multimeters and other laboratory diagnostic equipment.
- Evaluate computers and electronic components to identify failures and performance issues.
- Analyze laboratory results and prepare accurate documentation to support quality investigations.
- Maintain detailed laboratory records, testing procedures, findings, and conclusions.
- Follow established laboratory procedures and safety requirements.
- Collaborate with quality and engineering teams to communicate testing results and recommendations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Laboratory experience is required.
- Experience using laboratory diagnostic equipment including multimeters.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to perform physical, chemical, and functional testing.
- Knowledge of basic electrical and electronic systems.
- Ability to follow laboratory procedures and safety practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a product testing laboratory.
- Experience performing failure analysis or quality investigations.
- Experience troubleshooting electronic components.
- Experience supporting customer complaint investigations.
Pay
$18 to $20 an hour.
Schedule
- Onsite in Plymouth, MN (55442).
- 3-month contract with possibility of extension based on business needs and performance.
